Quick-start checklist

New to Comet? This is the fastest path from sign-up to a live store that tracks every sale back to the partner who drove it.

A quick note on names: the marketing site calls these Checkout Stores; inside the dashboard the same thing is labelled Micro-Stores. They're one and the same.

1. Connect your commerce platform

When you first sign in, onboarding asks you to pick your platform — Shopify or Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) (Magento is available on Enterprise). Comet then reads your catalogue so your stores stay in sync. Shopify takes about 15 minutes — see Connect your Shopify store.

2. Let the Brand Reveal set the tone

After you connect, Comet researches your brand from your website and generates a Brand Book — colours, fonts, and a themed demo store — so you're not starting from a blank page.

3. Build your first Checkout Store

Go to Micro-Stores and choose Generate a micro-store (AI builds it from a prompt) or New micro-store (the step-by-step builder). See Build your first Checkout Store.

Create a smartlink for the store and tag it to a creator or campaign, so every session and sale is attributed back to the right partner. You can even ramp traffic from your existing site to the new store gradually. See Creator & affiliate attribution.

5. Publish and share

Publish the store to its own fast URL — a Comet subdomain by default, or your own custom domain — and share the smartlink. Sessions, sales, and conversion appear in your dashboard in real time.
