What is a Checkout Store?
How Comet's per-partner stores differ from landing pages.
What is a Checkout Store?
A Checkout Store is a branded, standalone storefront built for a single partner, campaign, or moment — with its own curated catalogue, checkout, and attribution.
In your dashboard these are labelled Micro-Stores — same thing, different name.
How it's different from a landing page
Landing page builders assume one brand, many pages. Comet assumes one brand, many stores — each with its own product curation, checkout, and per-partner attribution.
A page builder like Shogun or Replo is great for a hero landing. Comet is built for the 30th creator store in a program — where you need every store to track its own performance and stay in sync with your catalogue without manual upkeep. You can build unlimited Checkout Stores on any plan.
What every Checkout Store gives you
- Curated catalogue synced live from your real store, so inventory and pricing are always current.
- Native checkout that stays on your existing platform and payment processor — Comet never processes the transaction.
- Session-level attribution back to the partner who drove the traffic, via a smartlink. See Creator & affiliate attribution.
- Its own fast URL — a Comet subdomain by default, or your own custom domain — on Cloudflare's edge, with no effect on your main store's SEO.
When to use one
- Creator and influencer collabs
- Affiliate and publisher programs
- Paid social and campaign landing experiences
- Curated edits and seasonal drops
