Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Comet platform and all related services provided by Comet Rocks GmbH ("Comet", "we", "us", or "our"). By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

1. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the Comet platform to engage in, facilitate, or promote any of the following activities:

  1. Illegal Activities: Any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations, including but not limited to the sale of illegal goods or services, money laundering, or fraud.
  2. Intellectual Property Infringement: Selling, distributing, or promoting counterfeit goods or any content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
  3. Harmful or Offensive Content: Publishing or distributing content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, or that promotes violence against any individual or group.
  4. Malicious Software: Uploading, distributing, or linking to viruses, malware, spyware, ransomware, or any other harmful software or code.
  5. Unauthorized Access: Attempting to gain unauthorized access to Comet's systems, other users' accounts, or any connected networks or services. This includes hacking, social engineering, or exploiting vulnerabilities.
  6. Spam and Unsolicited Communications: Sending unsolicited bulk messages, promotional content, or any form of spam through the platform.
  7. Deceptive Practices: Engaging in misleading or deceptive business practices, including false advertising, bait- and-switch tactics, fake reviews, or misrepresentation of products or services.
  8. Regulated and Restricted Goods: Selling products that require specific licenses or permits that you do not hold, or products that are restricted or prohibited in the applicable jurisdiction, including but not limited to weapons, controlled substances, tobacco, and adult content.

2. User-Generated Content and Reviews

If your store allows customer reviews or other user-generated content, you are responsible for moderating such content to ensure it complies with this AUP. You must not:

  • Post or solicit fake reviews or testimonials.
  • Allow content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes on third-party rights.
  • Manipulate ratings or reviews to mislead consumers.

3. Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all content you publish, upload, or distribute through the Comet platform. This includes product descriptions, images, pricing information, and any other materials associated with your store. You must ensure that all content is accurate, not misleading, and complies with applicable laws and regulations.

4. Additional Requirements

  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information and keep it up to date.
  • You must maintain appropriate security measures for your account credentials.
  • You must comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws when handling customer data.
  • You must respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • You must not interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Comet platform.

5. Suspension and Termination

Comet reserves the right to investigate any suspected violations of this AUP. If we determine that a violation has occurred, we may take any action we deem appropriate, including but not limited to:

  • Issuing a warning and requesting that you remedy the violation.
  • Temporarily suspending your access to the platform.
  • Permanently terminating your account and access to all Comet services.
  • Removing or disabling access to any content that violates this policy.
  • Reporting the violation to the relevant law enforcement authorities.

6. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violations of this AUP, please report them to us at aup@comet.rocks. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

7. Policy Updates

Comet reserves the right to update this AUP at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website. Your continued use of the platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
